April 12th, 2009 will mark the 6th Anniversary of Hyperguy.net.

It swells me with pride to have kept it up so long(LOL).

In all seriousness though, at this point I feel like I want to move on to something else. I feel like I’ve accomplished what I originally had intended back when I first made the site and that since then have pretty much just been hanging around.

Granted, previously the site didn’t have much of a rhyme or reason to it, at this point I’m really, really craving one, and I don’t think I can satisfy that notion here anymore.

Grrr, I’m coming off as really vague.

Okay, basically, between 2003 and 2009 I spread the good word of Viper and other things I like, and had a blast doing it. Thanks to my efforts its now way easier to find images and information about Viper on the web than it was before. Fuck, even Wikipedia links to me, which is funny considering the bulk of their information is just paraphrasing information I had on Hyper Viper previously(Edit: Actually, Wikipedia recently stopped linking to me. Looks like someone there’s finally taken a hint. Edit2: The crazy bureaucracy that is Wikipedia has started linking to me again. Good god. At a site where everything is readily editable I guess it should be no wonder that on whims entire sections or links will disappear and reappear as information junkies scamper to outdo themselves.)

But now I’d like to do something else. Something entirely different. This shouldn’t be any big change since updates as they are have been sparse. I mean, it’s hardly even worth checking for new content when I’ve only been making somewhere between one to two posts a month, if that.

So just look at this post as me officially saying “I’m working on other things.” Right now I’m at a loss as to what kind of content to put on the site while at the same time would like to, with a clear mind, devote time and energy to a whole new project. Of course, I won’t do away with Hyperguy.net entirely since I know there’s still people visiting for the archived content, but as it stands now I’d like to devote myself to something else.

That’s not to say that I won’t still be around. You’ll still see me posting on the Congress of Awesome as Hyperguy and you can still e-mail me at hyperguy.net@gmail.com with any questions or comments you might have. Just know that somewhere else on these great internets I’ll be carving out another existence that hopefully and with time and a little luck, will surpass Hyperguy.net.
